  Rowland Unified is proud of our Dual Language Immersion Program where students can learn to read, write and speak in either English & Spanish or English & Chinese starting in Kindergarten. Our Spanish Dual Language Immersion program is offered at two campuses: Hurley Elementary and Rorimer Elementary. Our Mandarin Dual Language Immersion program and schoolwide enrichment program is offered at Shelyn Elementary.

  The Kinders Community program this summer prepares our youngest learners for Kindergarten with engaging hands-on activities and special presentations. The program is at Rorimer, Shelyn, Ybarra, and Villacorta.
  
  Students have a special guest discuss what it is like to be an Aerospace Engineer! One of the activities was using a parachute to learn about "Area," the space inside of something flat. The more area there is, the more drag there will be in aerodynamics!

  Rowland High School Senior Ruby Wu was named a 2024 Edison Scholar, one of 30 high school seniors awarded a $50,000 scholarship to help them pursue a college career in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).
