SPECIAL PROJECT/GATE/PARENT EDUCATION

Gifted and Talented Education (GATE)
 
Students who demonstrate creativity and special ability to testing by third grade fro admission to the District’s Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Program. At the elementary school level, GATE identified youngsters experience the basic curriculum with differentiated classroom instruction.

Throughout the school year, GATE students are exposed to new learning opportunities, special fields trips and enrichment activities. All elementary teachers are trained to provided enhanced instruction from the GATE-identified youngsters in their classes.
 
At the intermediate level, GATE students choose from a wide array of honors and high school level courses. In high school, GATE Students enroll in the international Baccalaureate (IB) Program, Advanced Placement (AP), and honors courses.
