Teachers and Staff at Oswalt Academy Puckered Up February 13

WALNUT, CA – FEBRUARY 13, 2009 – The chant became loud as more than 800 kids yelled, “Kiss a Pig! Kiss a Pig!” The rain stopped for the all-school assembly that took place out on the blacktop and students cheered as the names of teachers were read. “Ms. Lucy,” a svelte 90 pound, nine-month old pig from the Mt. SAC Agricultural Department was ready in her pen for the excitement to begin.

Principal Astrid Ramirez and the teachers and staff at Oswalt Academy raised more than $3,750  in the unique “Kiss A Pig” fundraiser to offset school budget cuts.
