Strike up the band, the Rowland High School Marching Band that is.

The Raiders competed in the Southern California Marching Band Championships on Dec. 6 in Corona. The band came in fifth out of the 12 top bands from the region.

The marching band has surprised everyone in its first year under new band director Jason Alvo. The Covina High graduate had taught in Ontario schools for the past 8 years
