Congratulations to the following RUSD employees who were promoted to the following administrative positions and announced at the July 27, 2017 Board of Education Meeting:

- Amy Grigsby, New Principal of Yorbita Elementary (formerly Yorbita's Assistant Principal and fills the position due to the retirement of Sylvia Cadena).
- Gregory Perez, New Principal of Santana High School (was Assistant Principal at Rowland High School and fills the position due to the retirement of Stephen Edmunds).
- Kim Sandoval, New Assistant Principal of Rowland High School (a former District Instructional Coach and Teacher.)
- Dr. June Sakaue, New Principal of Blandford Elementary (formerly Blandford and Killian Elementary Assistant Principal.)
