Congratulations to the following students who were awarded $300 scholarships at the annual "Principal for a Day" event on March 12.

Principal For A Day is an event where business leaders and community members throughout San Gabriel Valley learn what it is like to be a principal as they become a guest principal at schools in the Rowland, Hacienda La Puente, Bassett Unified School Districts
Guest principals tour schools in the morning and then attend a special luncheon that honors the student scholarship winners. This year's theme was “Go for the Gold” and featured guest speaker, Olympian Swimmer Jill Sterkel (alumni from Wilson High School!).
Principal For A Day is organized by Bassett, Hacienda La Puente and Rowland Unified School Districts , La Puente Valley ROP, City of Industry Manufacturers Council and the Regional Chamber of Commerce, San Gabriel Valley
This year’s lead event sponsors were Industry Manufacturers Council, Alcoa Fastening Systems, Jostens, and Wal Mart. Other sponsors include Chaffey Federal Credit Union, Costco, Dr. Nimesh Ladhawala, Diamond Plaza, Kaiser Permanente, Lifetouch Photography, Pepsi Co., Premier Business Equipment, See's Candy, Superior Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge, Sysco Food Services Los Angeles, The Gas Company, Tropicana Products and Washington Mutual.
