Hurley Elementary in La Puente is proud to be one of two schools in RUSD to offer a dual-language program. All students in the Language Enrichment Academy learn to read and write in English and Spanish. Every class has a two person teaching team, where subjects are taught half the time in English, and half in Spanish.

Students also benefit from Guided Language Acquisition. Teachers promote the development of language using visual aides, songs and chants, focusing on science and social studies.
