FOR US FOUNDATION 8th ANNUAL RECOGNITION EVENT
AWARDS MORE THAN $29,000 IN CLASSROOM GRANTS SEPT. 13
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – SEPTEMBER 12, 2011 – The Friends of Rowland Unified Schools Foundation (FOR US) will present more than $29,000 in classroom grants to 28 teachers at their 8th Annual Recognition Event held on September 13 at 4 p.m. Funds were raised by the Foundation’s “Casino Night” held this past March. In addition, donors who have contributed to the Foundation’s Endowment will be recognized and will receive a “leaf” displayed on the “Tree of Learning.” The Recognition Event will take place at the Rowland Unified School District Office Board Room, at 1830 S. Nogales Street in Rowland Heights.
The following Endowment Donors will be recognized:
· David Bassett – Annual pledge donor. In support of Rowland Students.
· Progressive Floor Covering, Inc. of Santa Ana – Corporate donation – annual pledge - made in memory of owner John Spinella by daughter Danielle Spinella-Coker.
· Don & Kathi Delegal – Donation in support of Rowland Students.
Classroom Grant Awardees: The following classroom grants will be used for the arts, technology and innovative methods to enhance classroom studies and improve student learning in classrooms across the Rowland Unified School District.
