COMMUNITY LEADERS PROVIDE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
AT ANNUAL “PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY” EVENT MARCH 22
Business and community leaders from across the San Gabriel Valley will learn what it is like to be a school principal as they support schools and provide high school scholarships at the annual “Principal for a Day” event on March 22, 2023. Schools in the Bassett, Hacienda La Puente, and Rowland Unified School Districts will invite community leaders to be “guest” principals tomorrow morning as they shadow school administrators and tour school sites. Hosted this year by Bassett Unified, a virtual presentation will honor the 13 student scholarship winners by Dr. Alejandro Alvarez, Superintendent of Bassett Unified School District.
The following high school senior students and adult education students will be presented $500 scholarships to further their education:
Bassett High School: Valeria Palomera and Samantha Castellanos
Bassett Adult School: Maryah Munguia
La Puente High School: Jesus Castro
Los Altos High School: Tyler Gregory
Wilson High School: Ellie Hung
Workman High School: Perla Colin
Valley Alternative High School: Luis Solis
Willow Adult Education: Breena O’Neill
John A. Rowland High School: Katelyn Chi
Nogales High School: Ricardo Cuautle
Santana High School: Nicole Montoya
Rowland Adult and Community Education: Christine Vivirito Rodriguez
