ROWLAND HEIGHTS - Alvarado Intermediate School held its own version of a major toy industry show, showcasing the creativity and design skills of a select group of eighth-graders.
At Alvarado's 10th annual Toy Fair last week, 95 eighth-graders who are in the honors program participated in the annual rite of passage - to research, create and market a toy that is appropriate for toddlers to teens.
