Rincon Students' Imagination Soars at Destination Imagination Competition: Headed for State Finals April 10!

Rincon Students’ Imagination Soars at Destination Imagination Competition – Headed for State Finals April 10:

Destination Imagination is a national team challenge where students must create an original solution to a multi-faceted challenge. Students from Rincon Intermediate in Rowland Unified took first place in the Regional Competition and will now travel to San Jose for the California State Finals on April 10, 2010.

The Rincon team chose Challenge C, entitled “You’re Gonna Flip.”  Their task was to write an original story in which the main character flips perspective from the beginning to the end of the story.  They also had to create an original puppet, two side trips and live visual art which needed to be integrated into the presentation.

Congratulations to Advisor Paula Martinez and Rincon’s team of mostly 8th graders: Elsie Mandujano, Andrea Ruiz, Noemi Zarate, Gabriela Osuna, Michelle Serrano (7th grade), Samantha Melgar, and Laura Rodriguez.
