ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – MARCH 3, 2010 – Residents and employees, get ready to put your boots on to have fun and raise some funds for the students of Rowland Unified School
District! All this money stays in our district. On Friday, March 26, 2010, the Friends of Rowland Unified Schools Foundation, better known as FOR US, will host its annual “Boots-N-Spurs Evening Round-Up” Casino Night Fundraiser. This western-themed event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Industry Hills Expo Center “Pavilion” located at 16200 Temple Avenue in the City of Industry. Admission to the event is only $40 per person for admission purchased before March 13, 2010, $45 after.
All proceeds from the event support classroom grants. Founded in 1997, FOR US has awarded more than $235,000 in grants in order to provide classroom experiences that benefit students directly to increase their involvement and motivation to learn.
Tickets include $200 in casino play money with Rowland Unified school administrators and
teachers as “dealers” of Black Jack. Additionally, there is a Silent Auction and a Grand Prize
drawing for a 19” Toshiba TV and Sony Blue Ray DVD Player donated by Best Buy in City of
Industry. Special “fixins” will be catered by Around the Corner Catering, drinks by Pepsi
Bottling, Inc. and treats from Cold Stone Creamery (City of Industry) and Red Mango (City of
Industry).
