Alvarado Honor students are trying to "sell and market" a toy they have designed!
The Annual Toy Fair is a wonderful event to see the creative and talented minds of our students at work! About 100 8th grade students gather in teams to create a company, design a toy that must use recyclable materials, research their product market, and be prepared to sell it to potential "buyers" -- members of the community who visit that day and are given play money so that the buyer can manufacture it. Theme categories are Around the House, Outdoor Adventure, Educational, and Travel. Students try to convince buyers that their toy is worthy in this simulation.
English Department Chair Sue Cook is the main organizer of this annual event!
