Spring is in the Air… and Momma Duck Nests at Local Elementary School Entrance

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA -- As hundreds of elementary school children flock to school at Killian Elementary each morning, they pass something a little unusual… a momma mallard duck has decided to make her “nest” at the school entrance! “Daisy” duck has chosen the school as her habitat, right in the middle of school traffic! Fifth Grade Teacher and animal lover Jackie Kephart has built an enclosure for the momma duck around the school planter. Tomorrow, Thursday, March 28 at Noon, students will watch as a local animal rescue unit will move the duck and baby eggs to a new home!
