Rowland Unified Board of Education Approves Construction Contract for Rowland High School Aquatics Center: Groundbreaking October 15

            The Rowland Unified School District Board of Education approved the Lease/Leaseback Contract for the Rowland High School Aquatics Center at the October 8, 2013 Board of Education Meeting. A Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Aquatics Center at Rowland High School will take place Tuesday, October 15 at 10 a.m. The 40+ year old pool will be removed and a new Aquatics Center will be built, featuring an expanded pool with 12-lanes for competitions, a covered viewing area and larger deck, new outdoor showers, bathrooms and changing facilities, and infrastructure for energy efficiency (such as solar technology). Timeline: Construction begins October 15 and is expected to be finished in the summer of 2014.
