Celebrate Play & Fitness
New Playground at Palmview Park

The public is invited to join the City of West Covina in celebration of a new playground opening at Palmview Park. There will be a light snack and some play & fitness beginning at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 28th. The park is located at 1340 E. Puente Avenue in West Covina.
The new playground structure (as shown in the most recent issue of the city’s newsletter, Discover; and may be viewed on the city’s web site home page slide show) has been designed to develop strength, balance, spatial awareness, agility and problem-solving skills while encouraging imagination and social interaction.
Children can climb up, wiggle through, bounce over, spin around, and slide down the new playground equipment. And, parents can get fit (while they keep an eye on their children at the playground) with the outdoor fitness area for teens and adult, just adjacent to the play area.
Mayor Touhey stated, “On behalf of the City Council, I would like to invite the public, of all ages, to join us for this opening celebration of brand new play equipment surely to bring joy to the children of West Covina. It has always been the goal of City Council to provide opportunities for quality and safe play for our community within our neighborhoods.”
