FOR US Hosts Casino Night March 25, 2011 to Benefit Rowland Students & Teachers
The Friends of Rowland Unified Schools (FOR US) Foundation is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and enriching the education and well being of all Rowland Unified School District students. On March 25, 2011, FOR US will host its annual “Boots-N-Spurs” Casino Night Fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Industry Hills Expo Center “Pavilion.” All proceeds from the event support classroom grants and High School Scholarships.
The $40 admission price includes $200 in casino play money, a chance at the Grand Prize and a catered meal. Rowland Unified school administrators and teachers are “dealers” of Black Jack. There is also a Silent Auction and raffle drawings.
Founded in 1997, FOR US has awarded more than $260,000 in grants in order to provide classroom experiences that benefit students directly to increase their involvement and motivation to learn.
