Dear Killian Family & Friends,
We will be having an information meeting for parents on December 1st at 5:30 p.m. about the upcoming modernization. Topics covered will be what upgrades will be happening to the campus as well as information about the new Library. We will also be talking about how the transition to Farjardo will be taking place. Other topics covered will be transportation, school safety, after-school programs (such as Cougar Den Club, American Chinese School, and Options). Plus we will have time to answer any questions parents may have. If you can’t make it to this information meeting, we will be sending home an information packet with students the following week.
One very important item for us to know is how your student will be getting to and from school while we are temporarily housed at Farjardo Elementary. We will be sending home some information that we will need back from every student. On this form, we would like you to tell us in which way your student will be getting to and from school, either dropped off/picked up at Farjardo or your student(s) will be riding the bus from Killian to Farjardo in the morning and from Farjardo to Killian in the afternoon. It will be extremely important for us to know this before we go so we can get an accurate number of bus riders. If your student(s) are going to be riding the bus, they will need to get a bus pass. We will have a day here on campus when you can easily obtain a bus pass. Once you determine which way your student(s) will get to and from school, students will not be able to switch back and forth between riding the bus and getting dropped off/picked up. Once you tell us which way your student(s) will get to and from school, that will be the only way for the rest of the school year while we are temporarily housed at Farjardo Elementary.
