The Public Is Welcome - Please Join Us For This Important Community Meeting

In addition to the usual reports by the CHP & Sheriff's departments, as well as representatives from the offices of our federal, state and county representatives, the meeting will include the following presentations:

1. The California legislature enacted 752 new laws that took effect on January 1, 2011. Mike Spence will briefly explain some of the most important ones.

2. Trammell Crow filed a 40 page appeal with the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors of the Regional Planning Commission decision denying their application to construct a large apartment project at the current site of the Southland Christian School on Brea Canyon Cutoff Road. A recap of the basis of their appeal will be presented.

3. Incoming Governor Jerry Brown held a budget forum in December to examine the current financial status of the state. A review of some of the slides from that program will be presented.
