Dear Giano Parents,

    We are very excited to begin our new pilot Laptops for Learning Program here at Giano Intermediate School.  This program will begin in our English Department in the classrooms of Mrs. Fuentes, Ms. Barrett and Mrs. Lin.  This means that  everyday 450 students will have the opportunity to learn with  the use of a laptop computer during their English classroom           instruction.

   On Wednesday, September 8, 2010, these laptops will be “rolled out” from the carts into the hands of our students during class time.  This will be the first day that students will be introduced to this innovative and exciting technology program in the English department.

   Our hope is to purchase more laptops next school year, budget permitting, to increase the number of  students participating in this program and expand this into other subject areas.

   During our Back to School Night, more will be explained about this program and there will be two parent night meetings for you to learn all about Giano’s Laptop for Learning Program that your son/daughter will be participating in.  Thank you parents for our continual support!
