Dear Villacorta Parents & Students,

                 

    It is a delight for me to visit classrooms because I get to see the amazing ways our students are learning. I am so proud of the work our teachers do for Villacorta kids! When I see our teachers in action with students I am inspired by the way they motivate our kids to think, analyze, compare, and draw conclusions - if you have visited our classrooms, you know what I mean.

    Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week and I invite you to show our teachers how grateful we are for the work they do with our children. The theme for the week is “Teachers bring sunshine to lour lives.” We are using the activities listed below to help celebrate our teachers. Please participate in all the events that you can.

Monday:    Your shining light helps me grow, watch me now as I glow.

   Wear yellow to symbolize the sun.

   School assembly at 7:45am on the playground – parents are invited to attend.

Tuesday:    My memories of you will never fade, because of you I make the grade.

   Draw a picture of a favorite memory with one of your teachers.

Wednesday: Let me brighten your day with a candy bouquet.

    Bring a candy for your teacher.

Thursday:    You spark my learning light, for you these words I write.

         Write a note, letter, or poem to a teacher. Feel free to write to more than one teacher.

         Parents are encouraged to participate in writing to teachers.

Friday:    You ignite my curiosity to learn, let me show you how fondly my heart burns.

   Wear red to symbolize your heart.
