Save the date and plan to have a lot of fun while raising funds for students and teachers of the Rowland Unified School District ! On Friday, March 26, 2010, the Friends of Rowland Unified Schools Foundation, better known as FOR US, will host their “Boots-N-Spurs Evening Round-Up” Casino Night Fundraiser. Our annual event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Pavilion located in the Industry Hills Expo Center, 16200 Temple Avenue in the City of Industry.
Last year, Casino Night raised more than $28,000, enabling FOR US to award classroom project grants. FOR US needs your help this year more than ever. Founded in 1997, FOR US has awarded over $200,000 in grants in order to provide classroom experiences that benefit students directly to increase their involvement and motivation to learn.
You will have an opportunity to interact with our very own Rowland Unified school administrators and teachers, as they deal Black Jack. There are also Poker and Roulette tables. Music and dancing are also part of the evening. Throughout the night there is a Silent Auction, raffle drawings and a Grand Prize award at the end. A meal ticket for Food “fixins” is included in the price.

Here's how you can help us raise money for Casino Night and ultimately Classroom Grant Fundings. The price to attend the “Boots ‘N Spurs” fundraiser is only $40 per person (until 3/15/10) or $45 per person after and at the door. Each person will receive $200 in casino play money that can be traded for casino chips at any of the gambling tables. Additional play money and drink tickets can be purchased. At any time during the evening, your “earnings” can be traded for tickets for a chance for raffle prize(s). In addition to casino games, attendees will have a chance to bid on unique silent auction items during the evening.
