The Rowland High School art department is pleased to announce the show of Grace Chiang and Katherine Lin at Rowland High School. These young artists are both arts and communication pathway senior seminar students.

Katherine’s show has the theme of Rising in the East and Falling in the West. Her Eastern artwork is traditional Chinese painting on scrolls. Her Western work is oil paintings. Katherine won an honorable mention in the Congressman Gary Miller’s Congressional Art Competition last year.

Grace’s show is an illustrated book that she created based on the Chinese story of “Cinderella”. The Chinese story predates the Italian story by 800 years.

Both artists and the art department teacher, Mrs. Gavin, will be at the show and available for answering questions.
