This year's Saturday GATE Academy theme is "Found Poetry." GATE students will create their own poetry by reading the newspaper, selecting words and phrases from a specific day that stands out for them. From these words and phrases, they will make a collage which they will frame.
This art from was demonstrated at the "Sawdust Festival" in Laguna Beach where RUSD Music Teacher and Coordinator Laura Tovar was inspired. Parents and students will work on the art form together!
