The West Covina City Council will proudly recognize the following from Rowland Unified at their April 15 meeting:
- Nogales High School Basketball Team won the San Antonio League Championship and were the 2008 CIF Quarter Finalists. Coach Ricky Roper and the team will be recognized for their achievements. Students: Adura Awosika, Gabriel Gamboa, Randal Guillory, Josh January, Aaron De Anda, Jayson Requejo, Frasier Sheffer, Giuseppe Tonini, Phoenix Diaz, Rhey Olmedo, Aldrin Eusebio, Jorge Casarez, Stephan Maglanque, David Flanigan.
- Suzanne Isago, an active member of the West Covina community and employee at Giano Intermediate, will be recognized for being named as one of the Women of the Year by Senator Hilda Solis. (Pictured)
