District Honor Orchestra Auditions - Middle/High School Students

The Rowland Unified School District is proud to hold auditions on September 4 and 5 for the Rowland Honor Orchestra, under the direction of Sophia Hua. All interested students in elementary, intermediate and high school are encouraged to audition. The Rowland Honor Orchestra meets every Tuesday evening, from 6 – 8 p.m., beginning September 18.  Auditions and weekly rehearsals are held at Rincon Intermediate School, located at  2800 E. Hollingworth, in West Covina.

            Elementary Student Auditions: Tuesday, September 4, 5:30 – 7 p.m.

            Middle/High School Student Auditions: Wednesday, September 5, 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Requirements: 1) Scale: 2-octave or more preferred. 2) Etude or piece: best if memorized, maximum 2 ½ minutes with copy for judge.

There is an audition fee of $10 a student (for a second child, $5). Cash or check payable to RUSD. (Results will be mailed to homes the following week).
