Imagine getting hands-on experience in a career while still in high school! The award-winning Career Pathways program at Rowland Unified is one of a kind – students at both Nogales and Rowland High schools have the opportunity to learn and experience first-hand about six different career field areas: (Arts & Communication, Business, Family & Consumer Sciences, Health & Medical Services, Technology and Public & Human Services.)
Connections to the Future: At this unique event, more than 100 senior seminar students from Nogales and Rowland High Schools meet with business and community leaders to learn professional employment skills such as how to network and appropriate standards for business dress, etiquette and presentation skills. This annual luncheon is attended by more than 200 local business and community members who interact with students, while students have the opportunity to discuss and learn more about their industry area as well as hand-out business cards and truly network.
